Obama Asks Twitter to Delay Temporary Shut-down to Aid Iran Protesters. (The President shows he is in tune with the power of Global Consciousness)

The Obama administration, while insisting it is not meddling in Iran, yesterday confirmed it had asked Twitter to remain open to help anti-government protesters (See Original Story. The Guardian).


"GLinking"; Global Linking and Thinking, via sites such as Twitter and Facebook is an ever increasing force. They are now the catalyst of the unfolding story, which makes us a part of the story, as much Obama, Iran and Twitter as a company.

Momentum in such incidents, involving the search for social justice, can be directly influenced in a positive way by such attention. This is the power of global-consciousness that we all posses, it is just a matter of how much we are aware of it and how much we consciously choose to use it.

From a Global Consciousness Perspective:
Whether it’s a bluff knowing that other nations will not abandon nuclear weapons, we have to welcome this discussion anytime it is brought to the table. The silent acceptance of the threat of a global nuclear holocaust is one of the sub-conscious factors of our Global Consciousness coming to full light; it has been laying in this global subconscious since the end of the Cold War. Nothing used to silently unite us more than the a sense of common destiny - through threat of our Mutually Assured Destruction (M.A.D). Execpt perhaps the threat of MAD through climate change?

It is now a matter of urgency that we use this new global awareness to discuss eliminating all threats to humanity. Where governments are cable of discussing these things we should not allow them to lose momentum towards a solution for peace and security in every aspect of human survival.

Interesting timing for this news item; are we meant to (literally) connect the dots between this and the next news story on GC news about the 'Hushed Up Asteroid Scientists' (space.com), published on the very same day. If something like this were predicted within the next few years would they tell us? Would they want a panic before the inevitable end times? Would a panic matter in the face of ultimate destruction of the earth? Could such information be kept away from the public for very long before someone did come forward with the devastating news? What if earth did face such a threat, wouldn’t it put all our petty squabbles and concerns into perspective?


There are realistic chances of the earth coming under cosmic threat/s within our lifetimes. Not all asteroids are detectable; our own Sun is not an infinite object (see 4. Life cycle) and will not provide heat energy (BBC: Quiet Sun Baffles) to our planet indefinitely. The damage from climate change is potentially irreversible, making the suns rays catastrophic for life on our planet.

This higher state of consciousness becomes clearer when faced with a threat. It is no coincidence that such global threats are increasing. It is our humanity that calls to us, to seek a solution.

This "Mind revolution" as backed up in this article (Twitterers Defy China's Firewall - by BBC), is at the heart of what Global Consciousness is. The human spirit is irrepressible and evolving by the very challenges we present to ourselves.

In this story, we see how a sense of humanity is formed by connecting through text and images via websites like Twitter. The power of human history, is supplied by such iconic and global battles and form images of the cognitive background to the collective consciousness

Such displays of humanity gain their own momentum over the net. There is a collective determination, will and desire for a higher state of consciousness through free expression. China is on the brink of realizing its part in this revolution, as one user describes it: "When one website is blocked we just move on to another." It is unstoppable.
