Everyone, in time, will both 'sense' and 'become' a responsible part of the Global Consciousness: In prolonged periods of relative peace & comfort, human cultures become imbued with a sense of their own self importance,

which temporarily blinds them to the fact that interdependency is a core trait of the human condition and real peace. They raise the importance of their manufactured reality until it replaces their sense of humanity; acknowledging others needs would shatter that reality. Until of course history repeats itself and they themselves once again, become the needy and appeal to the humanity in others to save them.
This humanity, and call to humanity is the call towards our global identity: global consciousness.
